Malaysia Announces 11 New MFAR Recipients

On 7 October 2025, the Islamic Tourism Centre (ITC) announced 11 new recipients of the Muslim-Friendly Tourism and Hospitality Assurance and Recognition (MFAR) programme, further strengthening Malaysia’s position as a leading Muslim-friendly tourism destination.

The recipients comprise nine hotels and two Tour Operating Businesses and Travel Agencies (TOBTAB).

Under the Platinum MFAR tier, the recognised hotels are A Famosa Resort Hotel, Bertam Resort Penang, Espira Kinrara Puchong, Villea Port Dickson, and Villea Rompin Resort & Golf.

Gold MFAR recipients are Palm Garden Hotel, Putrajaya and Raia Hotel & Convention Centre Kuching.

At the same time, Shangri-La Tanjung Aru, Kota Kinabalu and Raia Hotel Kota Kinabalu received Silver MFAR recognition.

The two MFAR-recognised TOBTAB recipients are SignChina International Travel Admin Sdn Bhd and Maha-Izah Transport Tours Sdn Bhd.

Introduced in 2019, MFAR now encompasses 80 recognised businesses nationwide.
