Indonesia is strengthening its position as a global halal industry hub with the return of the Halal Indonesia International Industry Expo (Halal Indo 2026) on Sep 24-27 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) in BSD City, Tangerang.
The event reflects Indonesia’s growing confidence in its role within the expanding global halal economy.
As the world’s largest Muslim-majority nation, Indonesia continues to record strong growth in halal exports, particularly in modest fashion, reaching US$8.28 billion in 2024.
This growth highlights its position as both a key producer and innovator in the international halal market.
Halal Indo 2026 will be expanded across three exhibition halls, bringing together over 500 exhibitors and more than 30,000 visitors from around the world.
The expo will showcase a wide range of sectors, including food and beverages, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, fashion, tourism, hospitality, and education, reflecting the broader scope of the halal economy.
Building on the success of Halal Indo 2025, which attracted participants from 31 countries and secured strong business and investment interest, the event continues to serve as an important platform for global industry players, investors, and policymakers.
With global Muslim consumer spending projected to reach US$3.36 trillion by 2028, Indonesia is leveraging this momentum to strengthen its position in the halal value chain.
Initiatives such as industry pavilions, business matching sessions, workshops, and the Indonesian Halal Industry Awards (IHYA) 2026 aim to drive further innovation and competitiveness.
Supported by more than five million halal-certified products nationwide, Halal Indo 2026 underscores Indonesia’s ambition to shape the future of the global halal economy.
