With Visit Negeri Sembilan 2026, the State is committed to becoming a destination known for its distinctive cultural identity, immersive experiences, and extended visitor stays.

The campaign focuses on converting short-term visitors into engaged tourists who experience Negeri Sembilan across several enriching days. Efforts also include enhancing Muslim-friendly tourism and ensuring that all guests enjoy inclusive experiences.

“We have actually received many Muslim tourists through the initiative with the Malaysian Inbound Chinese Association (MICA). We also took part in B2B sessions and sales missions, and organised several familiarisation trips focusing on Muslim-friendly tourism,” said Nicole Tan Lee Koon, State Exco for Tourism, Arts and Culture of Negeri Sembilan.

“In addition, we have strengthened our volunteers, especially in terms of training them to become more Muslim-friendly tour guides. For tour guiding, we also assisted mosques and other related sites in improving their infrastructure. We will continue to introduce and develop more Muslim-friendly tour packages for visitors.

“To successfully promote tourism, the local community must first be fully aware of and experience our local tourism products. That is very important. Our aim is for locals, including youth, indigenous communities, NGOs and residents, to learn more and develop programmes related to tourism, arts and culture in Negeri Sembilan.

“This helps people become more aware, more involved, and more knowledgeable about our local activities and products so that we can promote them together.”

Negeri Sembilan’s tourism combines leisure, nature, and lifestyle attractions with a strong heritage focus. Central to its identity is Adat Perpatih, the matrilineal system uniquely practised in the State, offering visitors an authentic cultural experience.

Highlights include the Bunga Lado flower, Masak Lemak Cili Api cuisine, traditional performances like Tarian Piring and Randai, and interactive cultural games. Nature and adventure offerings include Malaysia’s longest granite cave, high waterfalls, Trans-Naning hikes, paragliding, firefly cruises, and hot springs.
